Program

The Zero Gravity Soft Skills Training retreat is held over 7 days – 6 nights in luxury partner hotels or luxury yachts in various exotic locations worldwide. During the retreat, we will cover highly interactive theory for Soft Skills such as Conflict management, Confidence, Communication, Problem-Solving, Situational Awareness, Teamwork, Stress management.etc., examine case studies, and imaginatively conduct an underwater scenario (pool-sea). See the sample program of a typical day below.

Day before the retreat

You are strongly advised to arrive the day before the start of the retreat. If you arrive early in the morning you risk being delayed and not being able to participate (the briefing session is mandatory).

Moreover, the evening before the official start of the retreat, Sea Breaze organizes an informal meeting to meet the Zero Gravity Soft Skills training retreat team, including the instructor and the safety personnel.  Although optional, this informal meeting allows you to get to know the other members of your team, and of course, ask any questions you may have about the diving simulation-based scenarios!

Private bus pick-up is available the day before we start from the Athens International Airport – Eleftherios Venizelos.  Please inform us in advance if you choose this transport method.

09:30 Familiarization dive

Familiarization dive with diving equipment and breathing underwater, at a depth no greater than 1 – 1.5m, in a swimming pool or shallow seawater.

11:00 First classroom

We will cover part of the Soft Skills theory and reflect on case studies. Then you will be assigned your first mission and begin your preparation for the simulation-based underwater scenario.

13:00 Into Zero Gravity

The big moment has arrived! After familiarizing yourself with the diving equipment and breathing underwater, your discovery of zero gravity begins where you will start enjoying your interaction with the enchanting underwater environment and your team members.

You will have 45′ to carry out the mission assigned to you, together with the supervision of your trainers and the safety divers, in a zero-gravity environment.

During this underwater “flight” you will experience unforgettable moments through activities, experiments, but also some surprises.

Scenarios require effective communication and collaboration in a multi-demand environment such as:

  • Workload
  • Time management
  • Decision making and
  • Setting priorities

In meeting these challenges individuals display authentic patterns of behavior.

The most important? Playing” their own genuine role under pressure.

14:00 Back to base

Each simulation scenario is followed by a thorough debriefing that includes feedback with an analysis of individual and group dynamics. This is conducted by utilizing observer notes and videos, for honest reflections on the triggered behaviors of the participants.

15:00 Lunch break

Time to relax and snack.  This is not a full meal, but it will sustain you throughout the second part of the training day.

16:00 Training Day - Part 2

Time to continue the learning, moving forward with the theory of more Soft Skills (other than those you earlier learned), case studies examination, preparation, and execution of the next 45-minute mission.

19:30: End of retreat day 1

Congratulations!  You have completed the first day of your retreat, full of satisfaction and new knowledge!  Now it’s time to kick back with food, drinks, networking, and relaxation.  Rest up and we will see you tomorrow at 08:00!
